About Denese Cavanaugh, Founder
Denese Cavanaugh, ERYT500/CPT/YACEP/Presenter/Advanced Teacher of Therapeutic Yoga, is an international yoga teacher and created The IPATH® Method in 2012.
Denese Cavanaugh developed IPATH® out of 26 years of Yoga and Pilates instruction. Her philosophy suggests yoga is a tool to help students reclaim and enjoy their own bodies and mind, so they are able to share their passions in life.
Voted "Best Yoga Teacher" 2014 and 2015 by the Washington City Paper, she has even given numerous private and event yoga sessions with First Lady Michelle Obama.
Her passion for mentoring yoga teachers and alignment yoga led her to create IPATH®, (Integral Postural Alignment Therapeutics), allowing her to share her expertise with people with failing posture and back pain.
She holds a YACEP® designation (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider) and offers 200 and 300hr Yoga Teacher Training curriculum and 75 Hour IPATH Restorative Yoga, and in 2019 created a complementary discipline, IPATH Mat Pilates. The IPATH Method is now available in Itay at the Deva Yogamynd school in Milan Italy,
Denese hails from NYC and currently lives in Bethesda, MD.
She is humbled and grateful to her teachers for sharing their unbounded insight and generosity and honored to share that generous foundation with others.
